My passion lies in photographing animals. There is so much mystery with the animals and capturing their beauty is a true honor.

Dani Peterson
I'm Dani. I'm 24 years old from a small town in northwest Iowa. I graduated from Iowa Central and Iowa State University with a degrees in Digital Mass Communications and Marketing! I love to design, photoshop and take photos in my free time when I am not working my 9-5 job! I'm a coffee loving, netflix watching, country music junkie that is always down for a new adventure. I shoot a little bit of everything landscapes, portraits, concerts, astrophotography, and weddings. Something comes alive in me when I create something new. I used to think I didn't have a creative bone in my body it just took me 19 years to realize what it was.

Photography is more than just photographing people to me. It's more of a therapy that helps me cope with the real world. When I feel stress out I can just spend hours photographing places, families, couples, & kids etc. I sometimes loose track of time when editing my work or when I am doing a session.
Hattie Renfrow
I am a photographer from small town Iowa. After taking Photography classes at Iowa Central Community College, I found my love for portraiture. My favorite subjects to capture are couples and seniors, but I offer many more packages! I decided photography was for me because I think there is such an importance in having special life moments captured and displayed through photos. Thus, HG Photography was born!
Jed Miller
I live in a constant tug of war with the things that i love and inspire me. If i take too much of it, it infects me and consumes me, if I don't take enough i feel as though my efforts are in vein and I miss the point of why I love my passions all together. I love photographing people in wild places, as well as the wild places and wildlife in them. These photos are from two different trips I took to said wild places, the alaskan frontier and the desolate countryside of eastern Montana.
Jenna Neumann
My name is Jenna Neumann and I live in Storm Lake, Iowa. I took these photos on a family trip to Yellowstone National Park in the state of Wyoming. The sights were unmatched with its tall mountains and beautiful wildlife. I only hope to go back again some day. My photos are meant to give you a glimpse on a far smaller scale of some of my favorite moments from that trip.

Most of my entries are from a series I made inspired by Miley Cyrus' newest album Endless Summer Vacation. Each portrait is named a lyric from different songs on the album. I used the colors and expressions that I felt embodied the overall feeling in each respective song. Although they work great as a series, I made sure these were stand alone images that did not need each other in order to have an impact.

Micayla Fulwider
My name is Micayla Fulwider and I graduated in the Spring of 2017. Since then I have started my business Micayla Lynn Photography. I have been inspired in so many ways through the people, places, and new experiences I have had. My style of photography is laid back/candid photos and not super posed. I think it is important to catch things in the moment because it shows you the subjects true self. I have been working on slightly re-branding my business to what I like and not necessarily going with the normal bright colored/perfect shot. I am also very into nature and landscape photography and I love to travel and see new things. I think it is amazing how you can turn something so ordinary into some thing that nobody thought of.
Nina Livingston
Hi! My name is Nina. I have been a photographer for 8 years now. I am a freelance photographer based in Wisconsin. I love photographing people and helping them see the beauty they have always had. I believe that everything, every place and every person has beauty in them and that the world should see the natural beauty in them too.
Stephanie Luth
My work is shot in color, but is 90% of the time turned black and white. There is something about the depth of a black and white that draws me in. Makes me really focus on the emotions of my subjects.
Teresa J. Crowley

This year, I wanted to inspire the audience through images that evoked emotion. The Clown The circus is a magical experience at any age. One may think that this image brings back fond memories from childhood. However there is a certain sadness to our friend, the clown. Sitting by himself, no friends, watching from a distance. The Thrower The model is a life long friend. She embodies strength, confidence and power. She isn't afraid to get dirty and weather the impending storm. Celebration-Bird's Eye View Capturing fireworks has always been a favorite of mine. This photo was created using a drone flying at 350ft, just above the blast zone to capture fireworks from a different perspective. The emotion of delayed astonishment and joy is what I hope to evoke from the audience in this photo. Fall Vibes I once again took to the skies to capture the vivid beauty of the lush Des Moines River Valley. Fall brings serenity and comfort as one dawns a comfy sweatshirt and jeans to carving pumpkins on a crisp and cool day. Shadow of a Hero Everyone has a hero in their lives. That hero look different to everyone. However, that hero brings hope. The shadow of a local fire-fighter is captured standing akimbo highlighted by the smoke and lights of the emergency vehicles. Much like the bat signal brought hope to the citizens of Gothem. This hero brings hope to the townspeople to extinguish the fire.
